ADO Den Haag

Vito Vormgoor plays since the 2012-2013 season for ADO Den Haag. Where did you start ? “I started playing soccer with DHS in Leersum. After a short period of time, at the age of 12, I changed clubs and started playing for DOVO in Veenendaal. Interestingly, the club on the other side of my street really wanted to have me but ultimately I choose for DOVO because my father Benno played in their first team for 10 years”.

AJAX

How did you get involved in professional soccer? Vito Vormgoor in his own words: “At the age of 16, when I made my debut in DOVO’s first team, many professional clubs became interested in me. It was not difficult for me to make a choice as I joined AFC Ajax Youth developmental program. I ultimately became the captain of Young Ajax”.

How did your soccer career further developed? “After playing for Ajax for three years, I signed a two year contract with FC Utrecht. In the second year of my contract I went on loan to De Graafschap where I did get a lot of playing time. Subsequently, I signed a two year contract for the “Superfarmers”. After two very good seasons with De Graafschap, ADO Den Haag was interested in me and they offered me a four year contract”. Vito Vormgoor is now a permanent starter for the Hofstad’s club. “I hope I can continue to make more great steps in my soccer career”.
